The bird and I did the Naked Indian Ride this Past Saturday, another fifty in the books for her and I. We decided to do it backwards and it was beautiful. Details to follow, for now, enjoy some pics of my custom handlebar bag and set up made and designed by Carousel Design works. I figure with this set up, packing ultra light, I could do a week or more of riding(with no camelbak) as long as there are plenty of resupply spots along the way.
After. Before the sound system and emergency inflation system are installed.
After, cockpit view. This is an allday set up folks, not a set up for going for a little tech jaunt around your local rock garden. You could however do that if you were so inclined. The music is loud enough to hear on the bike and share with my wife as I ride. I intentionally loaded my phones music library with 600+ songs. Random mix of stuff, I dont even know sometimes what I will hear. Some I like, some I tolerate, others I learn to like.
Front view, fully loaded for the OFF road.
Side view, I cant wait to hear what someone will say about this shot.
And my toes.
Story on its way.
Laters,
LOS

Make sure you zip tie those speakers down real well or you will lose them for sure in Pisgah...
I'm glad I will be far enough that I won't have to listen to your music though... ;)
LMAO. Im not using this set up at pisgah. I will bring the bags though so you can chekem out. I am still debating about my handlebar bag, it would be a good spot to carry all my food and stuff...But I think since I have to bring my camelbaK I will keep all my weight off the bike. The speakers, I will only use if I end up alone, but other then that it will be a music free day. And I hope your not that far head, LOL, I am hoping to keep up.
What more to say about that shot? Oh yes, I see... you need to clip your toe nails. LOL
You should get a remote for FF or REV button for your phone so you can skip those song's you dont like. That bag looks small. I thought it was this huge thing that gets in the way. You sure can pack a great deal in there.... looking good...
Actually, the blue tooth speakers have buttons so I can skip ahead a song, go back or pause. On that ride, there were times I paused the music so we could enjoy the natural sounds.
Ya, so far, I love the bag. Got a rear one too, but I still got to figure out how to use that sucker.
O and the speakers allow it so i can take a call on them too. ridiculous for most rides, but great for when I dont want to shut out the rest of the people I am riding with, but still want the sounds, or nothing in my ears for hours and hours.
